SYMPTOMS
========

When you play Dungeon Siege, you cannot move items in your inventory.

CAUSE
=====

This problem may occur if either of the following conditions is true:

- The game preferences and settings files are corrupted.

  -or-

- The most recently saved game file is corrupted.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, use the following methods in the order in which they
are presented.

Method 1: Create New Preferences and Settings Files
---------------------------------------------------

1. Quit Dungeon Siege.

2. On the desktop, double-click My Documents.

3. Right-click the Dungeon Siege folder, click Rename, and then type "Dungeon
  Siege.old" (without the quotation marks).

4. Start Dungeon Siege, and then quit Dungeon Siege.

  This creates a new folder called Dungeon Siege in the My Documents folder.

5. Double-click Dungeon Siege.old, right-click the Save folder, and then click
  Copy.

6. In My Documents, double-click the Dungeon Siege folder, and then click Paste
  on the Edit menu.

  When you are prompted to replace the folder, click "Yes to All".

7. Start Dungeon Siege.

If the problem is not resolved, proceed to the next method.

Method 2: Revert to an Earlier Saved Game
-----------------------------------------

Open each previously saved game with the same characters, starting with the most
recent game, until you can move items in inventory.
