SYMPTOMS
========

When you attempt to install Streets & Trips, you may receive a message
similar to the following:

  Install Windows and Office Component Updates

  Microsoft Office XP requires newer Windows system components not detected on
  your computer.

  To install Office, setup must update your system to the minimum required level
  of functionality, including:

- Core System and Data Access components

- Web Browsing Support

  After installing this update, setup will automatically resume with Office
  installation.

CAUSE
=====

This issue is caused by the use of the Microsoft Office XP system update
software to upgrade Microsoft Windows system components. Streets & Trips
requires the Windows system component upgrade.

RESOLUTION
==========

To complete the installation of Streets & Trips, follow these steps:

1. When you receive the message described in the "Symptoms" section of this
  article, click Next, and then follow the instructions onscreen to complete
  the upgrade of Windows system components.

2. After installation is complete, restart the computer.

3. When the computer restarts, if the Streets & Trips Setup program does not
  start, remove and then reinsert the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
