This article describes how to configure MSN News in Outlook Express 5.x through
Outlook Express 6.0.

To Configure MSN News in Outlook Express 5.x through Outlook Express 6.0
1. In Outlook Express, click Accounts on the Tools menu.
2. In the Internet Accounts box, click Add, and then click News.
3. In the Display Name box, type the name you want associated with messages you
address to newsgroups, and then click Next.
4. In the E-mail Address box, type the e-mail address for the account you are
using (for example, msnuser@msn.com), and then click Next.
5. In the News (NNTP) Server box, type netnews.msn.com.
If you are required to log on, select the My news server requires me to log on
box.
6. Click Next.
7. In the Account Name box, type your MSN user id (msnuser@msn.com). In the
Password box, type your MSN password, and then select the Remember Password
box.
8. Select the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) box, and then
click Next.
9. Click Finished, and then in the Internet Accounts window, click Close.
Note: If you have multiple Internet News Servers, you may set up your default
News account to the MSN Internet News Services.
To set up your default News account to the MSN Internet News Services
1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
2. Click the News tab, click netnews.msn.com, and then click Set As Default.
3. In the Internet Accounts window, click Close.
