SYMPTOMS
========

Ldap connections that are bound by using a simple bind may be closed by the
server on the first request after the bind. However, when Secure Password
Authentication is used, the problem does not occur.

CAUSE
=====

This problem can be caused by a timing issue.


RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For
