SYMPTOMS
========

When you visit a secure Web site (a site whose address begins with "https://")
that uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), you may receive the following error
message when you view the server certificate, even if the server certificate is
properly trusted and valid:

  This certificate has an invalid digital signature.

This problem occurs after you install the Windows NT 4.0 Security Rollup Package
(SRP) on a computer that is running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack
2 (SP2) or Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack 2 (SP2). Note that this problem
is with the user interface only; no functionality is lost.

RESOLUTION
==========

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to
correct the problem described in this article and should be applied only to
systems experiencing this specific problem.

To resolve this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the

NOTE: In special cases, charges that are normally incurred for support calls may

Microsoft used the most current virus detection software available on the date of
posting to scan this file for viruses. After it is posted, the file is housed on
secure servers that prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.
