SUMMARY
=======

When you install Microsoft Streets and Trips 2001 or Microsoft MapPoint 2001,
the Typical installation does not include all the files that the program needs.
When you attempt to run the program, you are prompted for the Run CD-ROM. This
article explains how to avoid having to use the Run CD-ROM.

You can uninstall and then reinstall the program with the Full installation
option, so that access to the CD-ROM drive is not needed.

NOTE: The Full installation of Streets and Trips 2001 requires 780 to 835
megabytes (MB) of free hard drive space. The Full installation of MapPoint 2001
may require more hard drive space than this, depending on the features that you
select.

To uninstall and then reinstall the program with the Full installation option,
follow these steps.

NOTE: Because there are several versions of Windows, the following steps may be
different on your computer. If they are, please consult your product
documentation to complete these steps.

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

3. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft MapPoint 2001 or "Microsoft
  Streets and Trips 2001".

4. Click Add/Remove, and then click Next.

5. Click Remove, and then click Next.

6. Click Remove. If prompted to restart your computer after the installer
  finishes, click Yes.

7. Insert the Setup CD into your CD-ROM drive.

  The Setup program starts automatically.

8. Click Next three times.

9. Click "Full installation", click Next, and then click Install.

10. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
