Error Message: An error occurred while searching for your access numbers. Please try again later.

Have the user retry. If problem persists, escalate to MSNIANOC.

Error Message: Area code requires 3 digits.

This error occurs when the user types in an area code that is less than three
digits. Area codes must be exactly three digits in length. Enter a valid area
code, and then click Continue.

Error Message: Only numbers and dashes (-) are valid characters for this field.

This error occurs when the user enters invalid characters in the Telephone number
box. Only those characters referenced in the error message may be entered into
this field. Enter the telephone number, and then click Continue.

Error Message: Only numbers and '-' are valid characters for this field.

User has entered invalid characters in the telephone number box. Only numbers can
be entered into these boxes. Enter the telephone number, and then click
Continue.

Error Message: Only numbers are valid characters for this field.

This error occurs when the user enters anything other than numbers in the area
code field. Only numbers can be entered in the area code field. Enter the area
code, and then click Continue.

Error Message: Please enter at least the first 3 digits of your phone number.

The user has entered less than three digits in the telephone number field. Inform
the user that they need to at least specify the prefix (the first three digits)
of the phone number so that MSN Explorer can detect local access numbers.
Specify either the prefix or the entire number, and then click Continue.

Error Message: Please enter the number to dial for an outside line or uncheck the option.

This error occurs if a user selects the box labeled I need to dial a number to
reach an outside line but does not put a code in the box specifying what number
to dial. Either have the user specify what number to dial (such as a 9), or
clear the box (if it is not necessary).

Error Message: Please enter the code that will turn off call waiting or unselect the option.

This error appears if a user checks the box labeled I need to dial a code to
disable call waiting but has not specified the code. Either have the user
specify what code to dial (such as a 9), or clear the box (if it is not
necessary).

Error Message: Please enter the 7 digits of your phone number.

This error occurs when the user types less than seven digits in the Telephone
number box. MSN Explorer requires all seven digits of the telephone number to be
entered so that local access numbers can be found. Enter the telephone number,
and then click Continue.

Error Message: Please enter your area code.

This error occurs when the user leaves the Area code box blank. Enter a valid
area code, and then click Continue.

Error Message: Please enter your phone number.

This error occurs when the user leaves the telephone number field blank. MSN
Explorer requires the telephone number to be entered so local access number can
be found. Enter the telephone number, and then click Continue.

Error Message: This option must be selected before you continue.  If you do not agree with the statement, click Back.

This error occurs when the user does not check the I understand box on the POP
override page (the page that allows a user to manually enter an access number).
If the user selects this box, it implies an understanding that by MSN will not
reimburse any long distance charges incurred while dialing the number. Assuming
acceptance of the agreement, check the box, enter a valid access number, and
then click Continue. In non-acceptance, click Back to go through the access
number selection process again or exit Setup.

Error Message: We were unable to find any access numbers in your area.  Please check the dialing from phone number you entered and try again.

To resolve this issue

1. When the error message appears, click OK.

2. Change the Area Code and Telephone number.

  If you know a local number in the user's area, put a number in these fields
  with the same area code and prefix.

3. Click Continue.

4. Repeat this process with other known access numbers until you receive a list
  containing local access numbers for the user.

Note:If MSN Explorer cannot detect a local access number, contact Technical
Support.

If you have used the above steps, cannot force MSN Explorer to detect a local
access number, and you know a local number exists, click Continue. A page
appears that lets you to manually type in an access number. Select the box that
says you understand that you will not be reimbursed for long distance charges,
and then type the area code and telephone number. Specify whether MSN Explorer
should dial a '1'and the area code, and then click Continue.

Error Message: You have entered an invalid character:  valid characters are 0 through 9, *, #, and comma.

A user has entered an invalid character in the I need to dial a number to reach
an outside line box. As mentioned in the error message, valid characters are 0
through 9, the star sign (*), the pound sign (#), and comma (,).

Error Message: You need to select at least one access number.  If there are no local access numbers listed that you wish to dial, you may wish to cancel sign up.

This happens when a user has unchecked the Use box by all access numbers in the
list. The user must select at least one access number to dial in to MSN.

Error Message: You need to select at least one access number.  If there are no local access numbers listed that you wish to dial, you may wish to cancel this account.

If the user has a list of access numbers present, they must select the Use box
for at least one number before continuing.
