SUMMARY
=======
The customer wants to download AOL Instant Messenger chat and use it to chat
with others. MSN Companion does not currently support file downloads of
applications--including AOL Instant Messenger. Customers can instead use MSN
Messenger from within the MSN Companion interface.

- Customers can use MSN Messenger and MSN Companion to communicate with others
by following the below procedure.
- To use Messenger with MSN Companion
1. Log on to MSN Companion.
2. Click the Messenger button at the bottom of the page.
The instant messaging conversation page appears.
3. Click the open address book link.
4. On the my address book page, select add a new person.
5. Type the new person's name and e-mail address, select set this person up for
instant messaging and then click add.
The helper prompt will appear and ask the customer to "please wait while the
person is added to the address book". Next, the "set up for instant messaging
page" appears.
6. Click the send invitation button.
The new contact has been added and the my address book page appears. The
customer can now proceed elsewhere in MSN Companion. The customer will be
notified when the new person becomes available for instant messaging; at this
time a pop-up message will appear stating that the contact is online.
