SYMPTOMS
========

When you play Microsoft MechWarrior 4: Vengeance, you may receive any of the
following error messages:

   - Nested Exception! Cause: 'EnterWindowMode'.

   - STOP: FAILED (0x8876024e - DDERR_UNSUPPORTEDMODE).

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:

- MechWarrior 4 is installed on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer.

- Your screensaver has started.

  -or-

  You pressed CTRL+ALT+DELETE to lock your workstation.

RESOLUTION
==========

To prevent this issue from occurring, turn off your screensaver before you start
the game, and quit the game before you press CTRL+ALT+DELETE.
