If you own the North American English version of an Encarta software product,
you can register your product online. When you register your product online, you
receive the following benefits in addition to the benefits that you receive when
you register by mail.

- You subscribe to the Encarta Annual Update Program (AUP).

- You sign up for the Encarta Online Deluxe Encyclopedia for free.

For more information about the AUP, please visit the following Microsoft Web

You can sign up for the AUP at any time, before or after you register your
software product. The free subscription to the Online Deluxe Encyclopedia is
offered only when you register your product online.

To register Encarta Encyclopedia online, follow these steps:

1. Connect to the Internet.

2. Start Encarta Encyclopedia.

3. On the Help menu, click Registration.

4. Follow the instructions on the screen to register your Encarta software
  product online.
