Midtown Madness 2.

The following list contains known video related issues in Midtown Madness 2.

- 3dfx Voodoo3 video adapter installed in a Windows 2000-based computer:
  Corrupt sky textures and invisible trees.

  If a 3dFx Voodoo3 video adapter is installed in your Windows 2000-based
  computer, you may encounter corrupt sky textures or invisible trees.

  To resolve this issue, visit the following 3dfx Web site to update your video
  driver:

  http://www.3dfx.com

- Asus AGP-V6600 GeForce video adapter

  If an Asus AGP-V6600 GeForce video adapter is installed in your computer, you
  may experience the following issues:

   - The proper shadows may not be displayed around vehicles.

   - If you click Calibrate on the Control Options screen or if you click Help
     on the Crash Course screen, your computer may stop responding (hang).

   - When you start a game before the introduction videos are finished playing,
     Midtown Madness 2 may hang.

To resolve these issues, install the latest retail video driver from Asus or the
latest reference video driver from nVIDIA from the appropriate Web site:

- ATI 3D Rage Pro video adapter: Flashing textures and a garbled screen are
  displayed at the start of a race.

  If an ATI 3D Rage Pro video adapter with retail drivers is installed in your
  computer, you may experience flashing textures and a garbled screen when you
  start a race.

  To resolve this issue, quit Midtown Madness 2, and then restart your computer.

- ATI Rage Fury Pro or ATI XPERT 2000 video adapter: Map appears on the
  horizon.

  If an ATI Rage Fury Pro or an ATI XPERT 2000 video adapter is installed in
  your computer, a map may be displayed on the horizon when you drive up a
  hill.

  To resolve this issue, download and install the latest video driver for your
  video adapter at the following ATI Web site:

  http://www.atitech.com

- ATI RAGE Fury Maxx: The game dashboard is flickering or flashing.

  To resolve this issue, download the latest drivers from the following ATI Web
  site:

  http://www.ati.com.

  If the problem continues to occur, disable dual-chip mode. Click Start point
  to Settings and choose Control Panel, double-click Display, click the
  Settings tab, click Advanced, click MAXX tab. Click to check "Disable
  dual-chip mode".

- Creative Labs 3D Blaster RIVA TNT video adapter: Green shadows are displayed
  and building textures may change.

  If a Creative Labs 3D Blaster RIVA TNT video adapter with retail drivers is
  installed in your computer, you may encounter green shadows or the building
  textures may change.

  To resolve this issue, download and install the latest video driver for your
  video adapter from the following Creative Labs Web site or the latest
  reference driver from nVIDIA from the following nVIDIA Web site:

  http://www.nvidia.com

- Diamond Monster 3D II video adapter: Palm trees and green trees are not
  displayed properly.

  If a Diamond Monster 3D II video adapter is installed in your computer, trees
  may not be displayed properly.

  To resolve this issue, download and install the latest Voodoo2 reference
  driver from the following 3dfx Web site:

  http://www.3dfx.com

- Diamond Viper II video adapter: Multiple known issues.

  If a Diamond Viper II video adapter is installed on your computer, the palm
  trees in San Francisco may be the wrong color.

  Currently, there is no known workaround for this issue.

  If a Diamond Viper II video adapter is installed on your computer, a map may
  be displayed on the horizon when you drive up a hill.

  To resolve this issue, download and install the latest video driver for your
  video adapter from the following Diamond Multimedia Web site:

- Elsa Gladiac GeForce2 video adapter installed in a Windows 2000-based
  computer: Game stops responding.

  If an Elsa Gladiac GeForce2 video adapter is installed in your Windows
  2000-based computer, the game may hang.

  To resolve this issue, download and install the latest reference driver from
  nVIDIA from the following nVIDIA Web site:

  http://www.nvidia.com

- Matrox Millennium G400 Dual Head video adapter: Game hangs after you close
  the Help window.

  If a Matrox Millennium G400 Dual Head (32 MB) video adapter is installed in
  your computer, the game may hang after you close the Help window.

  To resolve this issue, download and install the latest video driver for your
  video adapter from the following Matrox Web site:

  http://www.matrox.com

- Other video adapters that are based on the nVIDIA chip set: Multiple known
  issues.

  If a video adapter based on the nVIDIA chip set (including the Diamond Viper
  V770 video adapter) is installed in your Windows 2000-based computer, you may
  experience the following issues:

   - Hardware mode may not be an option in the Renderer list on the Graphics
     Options screen.

   - A blue box may obscure the game screens.

  If a video adapter based on the nVIDIA GeForce 256 chip set is installed in
  your computer, you may experience the following issues:

   - Shadows may not be displayed correctly.

   - The back-end of vehicles may not be displayed correctly.

  If a video adapter based on the nVIDIA (TNT, TNT2 or GeForce) chip set is
  installed in your Microsoft Windows 98-based computer, you may receive a
  fatal exception error message when you run multiplayer games.

  To resolve these issues, download and install the latest reference driver for
  your video adapter from the nVIDIA Web site:

  http://www.nvidia.com

- Video adapters based on the Silicon Integrated Systems, Inc. (SiS) 620 chip
  set: Game stops responding when you start a race or a cruise session.

  If a video adapter based on the SiS 620 chip set is installed in your
  computer, Midtown Madness 2 may hang when you start a race or a cruise
  session.

  To resolve this issue, download and install the latest video driver for your
  video adapter from your hardware manufacturer's Web site.

To identify the manufacturer and model of your video adapter:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2. Double-click System.

3. If you are using a Microsoft Windows 95-based or a Windows 98-based computer,
  click the Device Manager tab.

  If you are using a Windows 2000-based computer, click the Hardware tab, and
  then click Device Manager.

4. Click the plus sign (+) next to "Display adapters" to expand the branch.

5. Under the "Display adapters" branch, note the manufacturer and model of your
  video adapter, and then click OK.

6. Close all open windows.

NOTES:

Reference drivers are drivers that are released by the manufacturers of a
specific chip set that is used by specific video adapters.

Retail drivers are drivers that are released by the manufacturer of a video
adapter or audio card that use a specific chip set.

If you experience issues when you use the most recent retail drivers supplied by
the video adapter's or sound card's manufacturer, use the latest reference
driver from your video adapter's or sound card's chip set manufacturer.

Microsoft recommends that you do not install beta video drivers.
