SYMPTOMS
========

When you try to use your MSN Companion keyboard, you cannot input any data or
use the mouse.

CAUSE
=====

This can occur if the batteries for the keyboard are low on power, you are too
far from the console, the keyboard is pointed away from the console, or somthing
is between the keyboard and console blocking the signal.

RESOLUTION
==========

The MSN Companion keyboard sends a signal to the console by ultraviolet light,
just like a TV remote control.

To fix your keyboard, if it is not working

1. Make sure there is nothing blocking the line-of-sight from the keyboard to
  the Web Companion Console.

2. Test the keyboard by placing it a few inches from the console and press the
  Start button or Start page button, or try moving the mouse control. If it
  works, move the keyboard further away, testing it as you get further away. Be
  certain the

3. Check the batteries. Take them out and insert a set of new batteries.
