SYMPTOMS
========

When you attempt to start one of the games listed at the beginning of this
article, the game may not start, or the game may quit unexpectedly.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:

- A video adapter based on one of the following chip sets is installed in your
  computer:

   - nVIDIA TNT2 Ultra
   - 3Dfx Voodoo 3

- The video driver for your video adapter is outdated.

- Your video adapter is configured to use a True Color (32-bit) color palette
  with a screen resolution of 1600 by 1200 pixels or higher.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, contact the manufacturer of your video adapter to inquire
about how to obtain and install the latest version of the video driver for your
video adapter.
