SUMMARY
=======

This article describes how to import the First Punic War campaign from the trial
version of Microsoft Age of Empires Expansion: The Rise of Rome into one of the
Microsoft games listed at the beginning of this article.

The First Punic War campaign is only available with the trial version of Age of
Empires Expansion: The Rise of Rome.

NOTE: Microsoft does not support importing trial version campaigns into Microsoft
Age of Empires. If you import a trial version campaign into Age of Empires, the
game may not work as expected.

MORE INFORMATION

To import the First Punic War campaign into one of the Microsoft games listed at
the beginning of this article:

1. Install the retail version of Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome or Age of
  Empires, Gold Edition if it is not already installed on your computer.

  NOTE: If Microsoft Age of Empires is not installed on your computer, you must
  install it before you can install the retail version of Age of Empires: The
  Rise of Rome.

2. Download and install Age of Empires Expansion trial version from the
  following Microsoft Web site:

  http://www.microsoft.com/games/aoeexpansion/downloads.htm

3. Download and install Age of Empires Expansion Update v1.0a from the following
  Microsoft Web site:

  http://www.microsoft.com/games/aoeexpansion/downloads.htm

4. Click Start, point to Find, and then click "Files or Folders".

5. In the Named box, type "first punic war.cpx" (without the quotation marks).

6. In the "Look in" box, click My Computer, and then click Find Now.

7. In the list of found files, right-click the First Punic War.cpx file, and
  then click Copy.

8. Click Start, and then click Run.

9. In the Open box, type the following line, and then click OK

  <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires\Campaign

  where <drive> is the drive letter of the hard disk on which Age of
  Empires is installed.

10. On the Edit menu, click Paste.

11. Close all open windows on the desktop.

NOTE: When you select the First Punic War campaign in the retail version of Age
of Empires: Rise of Rome, you can only play the second scenario (Battle of
Mylae) after you finish the first scenario (Struggle for Sicily (Learning
Scenario)), and you can only play the third scenario (Battle of Tunes) after you
finish the second scenario.
