SYMPTOMS
========

Systems Management Server (SMS) Setup may stop working while it is re-creating
the indexes on primary keys during the upgrade process.

CAUSE
=====

This issue occurs because SMS Setup runs the query operation for index creation
in synchronous mode, which may time out on extremely large SQL tables.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Systems Management
Server version 2.0. For additional information, please see the following article

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are
listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in
Systems Management Server version 2.0 Service Pack 2.
