Quit Unnecessary Programs
-------------------------

To increase the amount of available system resources, quit all unnecessary
programs that are running on your computer before you start Motocross Madness:

1. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE.

2. In the Close Program dialog box, click any program except Explorer or Systray
  (which are components of Microsoft Windows), and then click End Task.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to quit all programs that are running on your computer
  except Explorer and Systray.

Install the Latest Version of Microsoft DirectX

Download and install the latest version of DirectX from the following Microsoft
Web site:

Reduce the Display Resolution
-----------------------------

To reduce the diplay resolution in Motocross Madness:

1. Start Motocross Madness.

2. On the Motocross Madness startup screen, click Options.

3. Click Graphics Options.

4. In the Display Mode box, click the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to select a display
  resolution of 640 by 480 pixels or lower.

5. Click OK, and then click Back.

Reduce the Graphics Quality Settings
------------------------------------

To reduce the graphics quality settings in Motocross Madness:

1. Start Motocross Madness.

2. On the Motocross Madness startup screen, click Options.

3. Click Graphics Options.

4. On the Graphics Options screen, click to clear the following check boxes:

   - Shadow
   - Particles
   - Sky
   - Stadium
   - Lighting Effects

5. Click OK.

To toggle Graphics Options settings during a race, press the appropriate function
key.
