SYMPTOMS
========
When you attempt to start a race in Microsoft Motocross Madness 2, you may
experience the following symptoms:
- Motocross Madness 2 may stop responding (hang).
- Textures on the motorcycle, the rider, or the ground may appear distorted.
CAUSE
=====
This behavior can occur if a Hercules Power Drive Terminator Beast video adapter
is installed in your computer.
RESOLUTION
==========
To resolve this issue, use the following methods in the order in which they are
presented.
Reduce the Display Resolution in the Game
-----------------------------------------
To reduce the display resolution in the game:
1. Start Motocross Madness 2, and then click Options ([GRAPHIC:the three gears])
on the startup screen.
2. Click the Graphics tab.
3. In the Display Resolution box, click 640 X 480.
4. Click Back ([GRAPHIC:the pointing hand]) until you return to the startup
screen.
Force Textures to Fit in Video Memory
-------------------------------------
To force textures to fit in video memory:
1. Start Motocross Madness 2, and then click Options ([GRAPHIC:the three gears])
on the startup screen.
2. Click the Graphics tab.
3. Click Advanced.
4. Under Emergency Repair Features, click to select the "Force textures to fit
in video memory" check box.
NOTE: This speeds up the game, but reduces the quality of the graphics in the
game.
5. Click Back ([GRAPHIC:the pointing hand]) until you return to the startup
screen.
