This article describes how to map functions to the POV (hat) switch on your
joystick in Microsoft Allegiance.

To map functions to the POV switch on your joystick in Allegiance:
1. On the Allegiance startup screen, press the ESC key, point to Game Options,
and then click "Map Keys and Controls".
2. Scroll to the bottom of the list of functions in the Configure Controls
dialog box.
3. Click "Hat as Buttons".
4. Press ENTER.
5. Press the POV switch on your joystick.
6. Press ENTER again to confirm the change.
7. Scroll to a function that you want to map to the POV switch, click the
function, and then press ENTER.
8. Move the POV switch in the direction that you want.
9. Click Accept.
10. Repeat step 1 and steps 7 through 9 for each other function that you want to
map to the POV switch on your joystick.
