SYMPTOMS
========
When you are running Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS) on your server, you
may experience slow performance on the WINS Server.
NOTE: The Wins.exe file may use a large amount of the CPU time.
CAUSE
=====
This issue can occur if you are running a WINS Server with several replication
partners.
Under certain circumstances, a time interval within the WINS service could become
zero (0).
RESOLUTION
==========
A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to
correct the problem described in this article and should be applied only to
systems experiencing this specific problem.
