This article provides information about how to change the logging level of
Services for UNIX (SFU) network file system (NFS) clients.

WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems
that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot
guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor
incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

To change the logging level, use Registry Editor to view the following registry
key, and then modify the following value:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Client For NFS\CurrentVersion\Default

Value Type: REG_DWORD: LoggingLevel
Value Data: The following logging levels are available:

0 - Log error events only (default)
1 - Log warning and error events
2 - Log informational, warning and error events
3 - Log all errors and successes

NOTE: The value data is a binary value.

After setting the logging level, stop and then start the SFU NFS client.
