SYMPTOMS
========
When you play Microsoft Allegiance, you may be unable to hear the turrets
firing.
CAUSE
=====
This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:
- A Creative Labs SoundBlaster or an Ensoniq PCI sound card is installed in
your computer.
- Hardware sound acceleration is enabled within the game.
RESOLUTION
==========
To resolve this issue, disable hardware sound acceleration within the game:
1. Start Allegiance.
2. Press ESC, point to Sound Options, and then click Hardware Acceleration
Enabled.
The Hardware Acceleration Enabled command on the menu changes to Hardware
Acceleration Disabled.
3. Press ESC twice to apply the change.
