SYMPTOMS
========

Earlier versions of the message transfer agent (MTA) did not allows users to
route messages based on the content type of the message.

CAUSE
=====

The capability to route messages based on the content type of the message is a
new feature in the current routing algorithm of the MTA.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server 5.5.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server
version 5.5. This problem was first corrected in Exchange Server 5.5 Service
Pack 4.
