SYMPTOMS
========

When you click the Bookshelf icon on the menu bar to start Microsoft Bookshelf
98 for Macintosh, your computer may appear to stop responding (hang).

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if you run Bookshelf 98 on a blue and white Apple Power
Macintosh G3.

NOTE: This issue does not occur when you run Bookshelf 98 on an Apple Power
Macintosh G4.

RESOLUTION
==========

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods to start Bookshelf
98.

Method 1
--------

Double-click the Bookshelf 98 program icon on your hard disk.

Method 2
--------

Make an alias of the Bookshelf 98 icon, drag it to the desktop, and then
double-click this Bookshelf 98 alias icon to start the program.

Method 3
--------

Click the Bookshelf 98 icon on the menu bar, and then wait until the Bookshelf 98
window is displayed. This process may take two to three minutes.
