SYMPTOMS
========

When you perform an unattended Setup with the following information

  [RASParamSection]
  ...
  StaticAddressBegin = 10.0.0.1
  StaticAddressEnd = 10.0.0.10
  ...

you receive the following error message:

  RAS unattended install failed because you specified an invalid IP address in
  the StaticAddressBegin value. Do you want RAS setup to continue in the
  attended mode?

This error message occurs only when a zero is specified in the second or third
octet.

RESOLUTION
==========

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to
correct the problem described in this article and should be applied only to
systems experiencing this specific problem.

NOTE: In special cases, charges that are normally incurred for support calls may

1. Rename the Rascfg.dl_ file to Rascfg.org on the distribution server.

2. Copy the Rascfg.dll file from this hotfix to the distribution server.
