SYMPTOMS
========
When you perform an unattended installation of Microsoft Windows NT Workstation
4.0, Setup may not automatically detect the 3C905 Original Equipment
Manufacturer (OEM) network adapter, and may therefore not install it.
CAUSE
=====
This behavior can occur because the Oemsetup.inf file included with the network
adapter does not have the appropriate settings for an unattended installation.
You must modify the file before you begin the unattended installation.
RESOLUTION
==========
To work around this issue, modify the Oemsetup.inf file:
1. Before you modify the file, make a backup copy of the original Oemsetup.inf
file supplied by the OEM.
2. Modify the original Oemsetup.inf file as follows:
Original Oemsetup.inf: [InstallOptions]
Install_dRMON = ''YES''
Install_3NIC_Diag = ''YES''
Install_PACE = ''YES''
Install_Shortcuts = ''YES''
Replace with:
[InstallOptions]
Install_dRMON = ''NO''
Install_3NIC_Diag = ''NO''
Install_PACE = ''NO''
Install_Shortcuts = ''NO''
Original Oemsetup.inf:
[Options]
3C90X
3C905
3C900
Replace with:
[Options]
3C905
Original Oemsetup.inf:

3. After you modify the Oemsetup.inf file, perform the unattended installation
of Windows NT Workstation 4.0.
