SYMPTOMS
========

When you use programs on your computer running Windows NT with MO drives
attached, your computer stops responding (hangs) when transferring a large
amount of data to or from the MO drives.

CAUSE
=====

This problem occurs because when an error (bad sector) occurs, the object the
file system driver was working on is not released for other uses.


RESOLUTION
==========

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to
correct the problem described in this article and should be applied only to
systems experiencing this specific problem.
