SYMPTOMS
========

When you play Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, you may experience any of the
following symptoms:

- The startup screen or the New Player dialog box may be distorted.

- The game screen may become distorted when you scroll from side to side.

- Objects on the screen may become distorted when you click them.

- The entire screen may be distorted.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if either of the following conditions are true:

- A Number Nine 9FX Motion 531 video adapter is installed in your Microsoft
  Windows 95-based computer, and the video driver for your video adapter is
  outdated.

- A 3Dlabs Permedia 2-based video adapter with 3Dlabs reference drivers is
  installed in your computer.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method for your video adapter.
