SUMMARY
=======

There is a known issue with the 3Com EtherLink 905B network adapter driver prior
to version 3.38.40.0. In certain conditions, this issue is exposed in Windows NT
4.0 Service Pack 6 (SP6).

Windows NT Server or Workstation 4.0

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or the
individual software update. For information on obtaining the latest service

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT
Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. This problem was first corrected in Windows
NT Server 4.0 Service Pack 6 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition
Service Pack 6.

MORE INFORMATION

To avoid any incompatibility between SP6 and the 3Com driver, SP6 Setup replaces
this driver (and prior versions of the 3Com driver) with version 3.40.40.0.
