SYMPTOMS
========
When you use Microsoft Message Queue Server (MSMQ) on your computer running
Windows NT 4.0, MSMQ can be configured to guarantee "only once" delivery of
transactional messages without duplicate messages for forty-five days. However,
it is possible, under certain conditions, to receive duplicate transactional
messages within a twenty-four hour time frame.
CAUSE
=====
This behavior may occur when the receiving computer is restarting while
transactional messages are being sent.
RESOLUTION
==========
Windows NT Server or Workstation 4.0

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or the

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT
Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition.
This problem was first corrected in Windows NT Server 4.0 Service Pack 6 and
Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 6.
