SYMPTOMS
========

When an IIS server is configured for RPC Proxy and DCOM clients connect through
this proxy to the DCOM server, a memory leak occurs in the Inetinfo process.

CAUSE
=====

This problem occur because of a problem in the Rpcproxy.dll file. After
Rpcproxy.dll finishes its processing, it does not notify IIS, causing the
session connection to not terminate and creating the memory leak.


RESOLUTION
==========

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to
correct the problem described in this article and should be applied only to
systems experiencing this specific problem.
