SYMPTOMS
========

The W32time tool from the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 does not clean and modify the
registry after it is changed from a master to a primary role. This causes excess
traffic on the network and requires manual editing to set the proper timer
server.

RESOLUTION
==========

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to computers
that are experiencing this specific problem.

later:

WORKAROUND
==========

that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot
guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor
incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

To work around this behavior, manually edit the Time Server values in the
registry and remove the old keys.
