This article lists the minimum system requirements needed to play Microsoft
Asheron's Call.

To play Asheron's Call, you need:

- A multimedia PC with a Pentium 166 MHz or faster processor.

- Microsoft Windows 95 or 98 operating system.

- Microsoft DirectX 6.1 or later.

- 32 megabytes (MB) of RAM.

- Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.02 or later, or Netscape 4.x or later.

- 170 MB of available hard disk space (an additional 100 MB of available space
  is recommended for the system swap file).

- A quad-speed or faster CD-ROM drive.

- A 1 MB SVGA video adapter and monitor capable of displaying 16-bit color at a
  screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.

- A Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device.

- A 28,800 bits-per-second (bps) or faster modem.

- Internet connectivity and an active Zone.com membership is required to set up
  your Asheron's Call account. A monthly service charge is applicable after
  your trial period ends. Zone Membership is subject to the terms of the Zone
  License agreement.

Optional:

- A sound card.

- A 3D accelerator video card with 8 MB or more of video memory.
