SYMPTOMS
========

You may encounter invalid data in an OLE document file before you enter any user
data. This may appear as random bytes of data in the file right after creation.


CAUSE
=====

This problem occurs in Ole32.dll because the document file structure was not
initialized after creation.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0. For

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT 4.0. This problem was
first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 5.
