SYMPTOMS
========

When you send a meeting request that contains extended ASCII characters in the
Place or Location field from a Novell GroupWise client to Microsoft Outlook or
from Outlook to GroupWise, the extended characters are displayed as squares.

CAUSE
=====

This problem can occur if code page conversions for the Location and Place
fields do not convert correctly.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, install the latest service pack for Exchange Server
5.5.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server
version 5.5. This problem was first corrected in Exchange Server 5.5 Service
Pack 3.
