SYMPTOMS
========

Windows NT Server with Routing and Remote Access Update (an RRAS server), when
used as a Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) client, does not
send the FramedIPAddress attribute in a RADIUS accounting request packet.

CAUSE
=====

According to RFC 2139, which specifies the RADIUS Accounting Protocol, the
FramedIPAddress attribute is an optional attribute, and may or may not be
included in RADIUS accounting request packets.

RESOLUTION
==========

Windows NT Server or Workstation 4.0

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or the

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are
