SYMPTOMS
========

When you use one of the programs listed at the beginning of this article, your
pointing device may not function correctly in InterActivities or animations.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:

- The right or upper button on your pointing device is configured to be the
  primary button.
- The InterActivity or animation uses the Macromedia Shockwave Director
  control.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, use the left or lower (secondary) button on your pointing
device in the InterActivity or animation.

To work around this issue if the secondary button does not function correctly,
you can configure the left or lower button on your pointing device to be the
primary button. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2. Double-click Mouse.

3. On the Buttons tab, click Right-Handed, and then click OK.

4. Close Control Panel.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are
listed at the beginning of this article.
