SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to plan a route in Microsoft Expedia Streets and Trips 2000,
the route may not be calculated, and you may receive the following error
message:
Unable to calculate route from <startpoint> to <endpoint>. One of
the areas may not contain necessary connectors such as ferry routes or main
roads. Please move one or both of the flags and try again.
CAUSE
=====
This behavior can occur if the route you have planned includes a route flag
located on a highway ramp or a trail.
RESOLUTION
==========
To resolve this issue, move any route flag located on a highway ramp or a trail
to the nearest intersection or street on the map, and then recalculate the
route.
