SYMPTOMS
========

When you use one of the Microsoft Flight Simulator products listed at the
beginning of this article, you may not notice aircraft on the ground or in the
air.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method for your Flight Simulator
game.

Flight Simulator 2002
---------------------

1. Start Flight Simulator 2002.

2. Click Settings.

3. In the Settings dialog box, click Air Traffic Control.

4. Increase the Traffic Percent setting. To do so, drag the slider bar to the
  far right (Heavy).

5. Click OK.

6. Close the Settings window.

Flight Simulator 2000
---------------------

1. Start a new flight in Flight Simulator 2000.

2. On the Options menu, point to Settings, and then click Display.

3. Click the Image Quality tab.

4. Click to select "Dynamic scenery", and then move the Dynamic scenery slider
  to the far right.

5. Click the green check mark to close the window.

Flight Simulator 98
-------------------

1. Start a new flight in Flight Simulator 98.

2. On the World menu, click Dynamic Scenery.

3. In the "Scenery frequency" box, click Very Dense.

4. Click to select the following check boxes:

   - Air traffic
   - Aircraft ground traffic
   - Aircraft service traffic
   - Traffic outside airports

5. Click OK.

6. On the World menu, click Scenery Complexity.

7. In the "Image complexity" box, click Normal, Dense, or Very Dense.

8. Click OK.

NOTE: The Dynamic Scenery and Scenery Complexity settings revert to the default
settings when you start a new flight.
