SYMPTOMS
========

The OV/VM (PROFS) Connector may fail to correctly parse a message sent from the
host to an Exchange recipient resulting in an endless loop. This will result in
a mail backlog on the host system.

CAUSE
=====

The OV/VM(PROFS) Connector received an unexpected End of File (EOF) condition
while processing a message, which resulted in the endless loop.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server
version 5.5. For additional information, please see the following article in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server
version 5.5. This problem was first corrected in Exchange Server 5.5 Service
Pack 3.
