SUMMARY
=======
When you install Encarta Reference Suite 99 or Encarta Encyclopedia 99, you
cannot install the following components unless you also install Encarta
Encyclopedia 99:
- Microsoft Natural Language
- Microsoft Text-to-Speech Engine
- Microsoft Speech Recognition Engine
If you use the Setup.exe program on the CD-ROM or the Add/Remove Programs tool in
Control Panel to install additional Encarta components, you are prompted to
remove the program.
This article describes how to install additional Encarta Reference Suite 99 or
Encarta Encyclopedia 99 components or programs without removing the programs
that are already installed.

To install additional Encarta Reference Suite 99 or Encarta Encyclopedia 99
components, use either of the following methods.
Installation and Resources Program
----------------------------------
To use the Installation and Resources program to install an Encarta Reference
Suite 99 or Encarta Encyclopedia 99 component or program, follow these steps:
1. Insert the Installation and Resources CD-ROM for Encarta Reference Suite 99
or Encarta Encyclopedia 99. If Installation and Resources does not start
automatically, proceed to the "Manual Installation" method.
2. To install an Encarta Reference Suite 99 or Encarta Encyclopedia 99
component, click Encarta Extras, and then click the component you want to
install.
To install an Encarta Reference Suite 99 program that is not installed, click
the appropriate link for that program.
Note: If the program is installed, the program starts when you click the link.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the component or program.
4. Repeat these steps for each component or program you want to install.
Manual Installation

To manually install an Encarta Reference Suite 99 or Encarta Encyclopedia 99
component or program, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type the command line for the component you want to install, and then click
OK. The following table lists the installation command lines for each
component of Encarta Reference Suite 99, where <cdrom> is the drive
letter for your CD-ROM drive:
