SYMPTOMS
========

If you insert the Euro currency symbol into an Object Description Language 
(ODL) or Interface Description Language (IDL) file, the Visual C++
IDE stops responding ("hangs"). (The Euro symbol, which cannot display 
properly in an ASCII view of this article, looks like a capital "C"
with two horizontal bars through it.)

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are
listed at the beginning of this article.This bug was corrected in the next
service pack for Visual Studio 6.0.
