SYMPTOMS
========

If you set Microsoft Outlook as the default e-mail program on the Programs tab
of the Internet Properties dialog box, Microsoft Outlook Express may continue to
start when you attempt to send or receive e-mail on MSN, The Microsoft Network.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if Outlook Express is still set as the default MSN
e-mail program.

RESOLUTION
==========

To set Outlook 98 as the default MSN e-mail program, follow these steps:

1. Connect to MSN.

2. Click Member Services on the MSN On Stage page.

3. Click Help & Support.

4. Click Frequently Asked Questions.

5. Under Community, click E-mail, and then click Microsoft Outlook 98.

6. Click the "Can I use Microsoft Outlook 98 with MSN 2.5?" link.

7. Click the appropriate link for your Outlook 98 Setup option, and then follow
  the instructions on the screen to set Outlook 98 as the default MSN e-mail
  program.
