SYMPTOMS
========

When you right-click inside an article or media page in Microsoft Encarta
Encyclopedia 99 Standard Edition, and then click Read Aloud, the article or
media page is not read aloud.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior occurs when the Microsoft Text-to-Speech Engine is installed on
your computer.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia
99 Standard Edition.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Read Aloud functionality is not included in Encarta Encyclopedia Standard
Edition and the Read Aloud command does not appear on the Options menu in this
edition of Encarta. However, when the Microsoft Text-to-Speech Engine is
installed on the computer, Read Aloud does appear on the shortcut menu although
the command does not function in this edition of Encarta.
