SYMPTOMS
========
During the execution of a program, a "STOP 0x0000000A" or "STOP 0x00000050"
error message may appear.
The parameters of the stop code may vary.
The problem only occurs with Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3 installed.
The issue was first noticed during the second portion of Exceed 6.1 Setup if the
workstation files are stored on a NetWare 4.11 server. Various other scenarios
can reproduce the same issue.
RESOLUTION
==========
A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to
correct the problem described in this article and should be applied only to
systems experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional
testing at a later time, to further ensure product quality. Therefore, if you
are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait
for the next Windows NT 4.00 service pack that contains this fix.

STATUS
======
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are
listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Windows NT version 4.0 Service Pack 5.
The fix is actually a post-Service Pack 3 Hotfix for customers running Windows NT
4.0 Service Pack 3.
