SYMPTOMS
========

On single-processor servers, performing an online backup of a Microsoft Exchange
Server 5.5 database takes a long time. This behavior is not exhibited on servers
with more two or more processors.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server
version 5.5. For more information, please see the following article in the
