SYMPTOMS
========

If you paste a bitmap into the local clipbook and then double-click the Icon,
the following error message appears:

  Die Ablagemappe kann die Daten im aktuellen Format nicht anzeigen.
  Versuchen Sie, die Daten in ein Dokument einzufuegen wenn Sie sie
  ansehen moechten.

This error states that is is not possible to show this format.

This problem only occurs on the German version of Windows NT 4.0.

CAUSE
=====

There is a problem with the German localized version of Clipbrd.exe that causes
the error message above.

RESOLUTION
==========

To work around this problem, install the U.S. version of Clipbrd.exe.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Version 4.0. We are
researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
