SYMPTOMS
========

In 1999, countries in the European Community (EC) will begin to use a single
currency named the euro. The euro has an associated symbol called the euro
currency symbol. There currently is not a keystroke in Windows NT that maps to
the euro currency symbol.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0. For

For your convenience, the English version of this post-SP3 hotfix has been posted
to the following Internet location.

NOTE: This Post-SP3 hotfix was updated on May 18, 1999 to include the following
fonts. The updated version of this hotfix will ship in the next Windows NT
service pack:

- Arial Black

- Comic Sans MS

- Impact

- Lucida Sans Unicode

- Lucida Console

- Tahoma

- Verdana

For developers who use the euro currency symbol, you may need to recompile the
resources on a computer running Windows NT 4.0 with SP4.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT 4.0. This problem was
first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.0 Service Pack 4.
