SYMPTOMS
========

When you are flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator 98, the horizon may appear
gray or distorted, and may never seem to change. In addition, a gray band with a
height of between one quarter inch and two inches may extend across the entire
window.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if visibility is set to any setting other than
Unlimited. The default visibility setting in Flight Simulator 98 is 20 miles (32
km).

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, use the following steps:

1. Start Flight Simulator 98, and then select a flight.

2. On the World menu, click Weather.

3. In the Visibility box, click Unlimited, and then click OK.
