SYMPTOMS
========

When you start Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia for Windows, you may be unable to
view the Windows taskbar while Encarta is running maximized.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if the display resolution is set to 640 x 480 and the
Auto Hide taskbar setting is disabled.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, use either of the following methods.

Increase Display Resolution to 800 x 600 or Larger
--------------------------------------------------

To do this:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2. Double-click Display.

3. On the Settings tab, move the "Desktop area" or "Screen area" slider to the
  right to change the setting to 800 x 600 pixels or higher.

4. Click OK, and then click OK again.

5. Close Control Panel.

Enable the Auto Hide Taskbar Setting
------------------------------------

To do this:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar or Taskbar & Start
  Menu.

2. On the Taskbar Options tab, click to select the Auto Hide check box.

3. Click OK.
