SYMPTOMS
========

When you attempt to start Microsoft Expedia Streets 98 or Microsoft Expedia Trip
Planner 98, you may receive the following error message:

  A required .dll file, Mvcl20n.dll, was not found.

When you click OK, you receive the following error message:

  The main application could not be launched. Please rerun Setup.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if one or more files needed by Expedia Streets or
Expedia Trip Planner is the incorrect version, missing, or damaged.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, use the following steps:

1. Insert the Expedia Streets or Trip Planner CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
  Press and hold down the SHIFT key when you insert the CD-ROM to prevent
  Expedia Streets or Trip Planner from starting.

2. Double-click My Computer.

3. Right-click the CD-ROM drive icon, and then click Explore.

4. Double-click the Acmsetup folder.

5. Double-click the Automap folder.

6. Double-click the System folder.

7. On the Edit menu, click Select All, and then click Copy.

8. Close Windows Explorer.

9. Double-click the hard disk on which Expedia Streets or Trip Planner is
  installed.

10. Double-click the Program Files folder.

11. Double-click the Microsoft Expedia folder.

12. Double-click the Streets 98 or Trip Planner 98 folder.

13. Double-click the System folder.

14. On the Edit menu, click Paste. When you are prompted to replace an existing
  file, click Yes To All.

NOTE: You may need to copy the files into the Windows\System folder.

15. Close all open windows, and then restart the computer.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Expedia Streets 98 and Expedia
Trip Planner 98. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new
information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
